Our Story

We, the founders of Emerson & Oliver, have been best friends for over 25 years, sharing a deep bond and similar mindsets that made the decision to go into business together a natural one. We are like two friends who may wear the same outfit but style it differently, each creating their own unique look.

Emerson & Oliver was born from our shared tastes and personalities, drawing inspiration from our travels and experiences together, as well as the years we lived miles apart. When we started the company in 2012, Mary was in New York, and Laura was in Barbados. We were searching for jewelry that would work both in the city and on the beach, which led us to reimagine the jelly bracelets and piano wire bracelets of our youth, creating the DIA Bracelets.
